Basic Knowledge of Pearl Jewelry
The most commonly can be divided into natural pearls, cultured pearls and freshwater pearls three categories.
Natural pearls – It is a product form pearl shell mussel and a shell with nacre can produce pearls. In general, cultured pearls can be divided into South Sea pearls, and Tahitian colors pearls. At present, the expensive and high-quality pearls are Tahitian pearls and South Sea pearl.

Tahitian Natural Pearl – is different to South Sea pearls and beads from Japan, and can be described as a premium precious. Because the pearl itself is a precious black mussel dish (a limited growth only in natural, pollution-free waters of the rare Polynesian mussels) farming out in different levels grade of grayish color with a different Symphony, which make it more and different to other pearls. In addition with their breeding environment, and the process requires are very strict, every hundred of black disc beads mussel colonization, will only have fifty out successfully cultivated as pearls, in which there are only five perfectly pearls existed and therefore each of them is priceless.
Freshwater cultured pearls – is a nuclear-free cultured pearls beads, are productive in river or lake. Similar surgical procedures as cultured pearls, but their sizes are smaller. An oyster can farming up to hundreds of freshwater pearls, the price of freshwater pearls are often cheaper than sea water cultured pearls.
